At Medix, teammates with a wide variety of skill sets lock arms across the country to achieve goals and work towards success. For the latest edition of our Medix Teammate Spotlight series, we’re checking in with Lindsay, who recently transitioned into the role of Implementation Coordinator for our Talent Innovation Team.
Here’s a little more about Lindsay and her role with Medix:
Please explain your current role at Medix
“My current role at Medix is the Implementation Coordinator for the Talent Innovation Team.”
What brought you to this role?
“When I started at Medix over three years ago, I was the Office Coordinator for our Pittsburgh office. During those three years, I took on an additional role which allowed me to help recruit talent for our clients. As our office grew and grew, I decided to dig back into my original position, where I also began working remotely for several other offices as needed. Although I had a great passion and love for the role, I wanted to experience something different and learn some other aspects of our business. When the Implementation Coordinator role opened up, I knew it would be a perfect fit for me.”
What made you decide to work for Medix?
“Throughout college, I worked as an administrative assistant while obtaining my degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, I utilized my knowledge learned by working for a combined daycare/preschool. However, I quickly realized that I much rather enjoyed working in an office atmosphere, being on a computer and being able to converse with adults regularly. I had a friend introduce me to the opportunity available at Medix, and figured I couldn’t pass up the chance to work here. It was exactly what I was looking for in terms of work and atmosphere.”
What are the characteristics young professionals need to possess to be successful at Medix?
“I think young professionals need to have passion and drive; self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.”
When you’re not working hard at Medix, what are your hobbies?
“I love spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book and often binge watching TV.”
Did you have a New Year’s resolution for 2016? How’s it going?
“I didn’t do a New Year’s resolution for 2016, but I am trying to eat healthier by cooking more meals at home and not going out to eat as much.”
