Case Management Society of America Partners with Medix to Offer Career and Knowledge Pathways™

The Case Management Society of America and Medix today announce a partnership to provide the Career and Knowledge Pathways educational program to the Medix community. This collaboration seeks to strengthen the case/care management workforce by offering aptitude and skills measurement through CMSA’s CKP program. The mutually beneficial agreement provides Medix, a workforce solutions company focused on identifying individual skills of talent in the healthcare, scientific and IT industries, access to utilize and resell Career and Knowledge Pathways.

Ken Williams, National Director of Care Management at Medix, remarked, “We are very excited about our partnership with CMSA on the Career and Knowledge Pathways program.  Training and knowledge consistency are two of the biggest challenges in the care management industry. This tool will enable us to create a quality benchmark standard with our talent, thus providing our clients with a dependable on-boarding training solution to aid in the development of their new staff, lower risk, and ultimately help drive better clinical outcomes.”

Based on CMSA’s Standards of Practice for Case Management – the most widely recognized standards in care and case management –  the first course in CKP offers contextual learning of the each of the Standards and gives the case manager the opportunity to learn at their own pace. Where traditional educational programs are limited in content, structure, mode of delivery or timing, CKP uses multiple delivery methods including video, simulations and case studies to encourage a collaborative and flexible learning experience. The course was developed by thought leaders in case management to contribute to the basic understanding of the standards that govern the practice of case management.
