For our latest Medix teammate spotlight, we’re checking in with Joe, one of our Account Executives in Chicago, who is creating opportunity for clients and talent within the IT industry. Here is more about Joe:
Please explain your current role at Medix.
“I am an Account Executive for our IT division in Chicago, Illinois.”
What made you decide to work for Medix?
“Medix has culture and opportunity that is second to none! From the first time I interviewed with Medix, I could tell there was something special going on with the organization from top-down. Our CEO has energy and passion that could pick you right back up when having a bad day. The director-level leadership is very engaged with their respective markets in growing them. Management level genuinely cares about the success of their team and lateral co-workers are always willing to help out. It’s a recipe for success and was a very important to me when interviewing with agencies.”
What are the characteristics young professionals need to possess to be successful at Medix?
“Grit, passion and good processes. Any sales role will have its ups and downs, and you need to have the ‘grit’ to stick it out through thick and thin. Passion towards your job is also crucial in order to be successful; ‘If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.’ Having good processes and organization can be difficult for many, but once you have it down, it makes the job so much easier and more fun.”
When you’re not working hard at Medix, what are your hobbies?
“I play 12″ Softball every week, love to travel and take spontaneous trips; ‘Live a quarter mile at a time,’ – Paul Walker (RIP)”
Who is your favorite (fantasy) football player?
“My favorite fantasy football player currently is ODB – Odell Beckham Jr. He’s going to lead me to the ‘ship this year!”
