Medix teamMedix’s hard-working corporate recruiting team has a new member – Sarah. Although Sarah is new to her role as Corporate Recruiter, she is no stranger in the Medix family. We asked her a couple of questions about herself and Medix career to share her unique story:
Please explain your current role at Medix.
“I’m currently a corporate recruiter with Medix. My responsibilities include hiring internal talent for our Kansas City, Nashville, Tampa, Rockville, Pittsburgh and Boston offices.”
What brought you to this role?
“I’ve been a Medix employee for four and a half years now. I started in the same position that most do here – Recruiter! I helped launch our IT division in Kansas City and was promoted into an Account Management role. After I was in this role, I then moved into a Technical Delivery Manager role, where I was recruiting and managing IT requisitions for a large national account at Medix. I then moved into a role in our TRC as Regional Epic Account Executive. In this position, I sold our staffing services to hospitals across the country that were making the transition to EPIC for their EMR system. I recently transitioned to the corporate team when the opportunity opened with the corporate recruiting team.”
What made you decide to work for Medix?
“The opportunities. I loved the chance to be a part of a growing organization with endless growth opportunities.”
What are the characteristics young professionals need to possess to be successful at Medix?
“When I’m recruiting for our entry-level recruitment role, I’m looking for someone who has a drive for success, is self-motivated, goal-oriented and a team player. I like to see someone who can build rapport and easily develop relationships, as it’s so important in our business in both the recruitment and sales position!”
When you’re not working hard at Medix, what are your favorite hobbies?
“My husband and I love to travel, cook, golf, spend time with our friends and family and most importantly, spend time with our 10-month-old son – Brady!”
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
Anywhere with year-round 60+ degree weather!
Thanks, Sarah!
