You can find Medix teammates across the country following their individual passions and working to positively impacting lives. In our latest Medix teammate spotlight, we’re making a stop in New Jersey and learning a little about Cal, who’s making an impact on our scientific team:
Please explain your current role at Medix
“I am an Account Manager for our Scientific Division in New Jersey.  I mainly oversee the central/northern New Jersey space.”
What brought you to this role?
“I started as a Science recruiter in Lombard, Illinois, and then was promoted to a science account management role after that.  In May of 2014, I got the opportunity to take over the Science team here.”
What made you decide to work for Medix?
“I was actually referred via a fellow Medix teammate’s uncle who works with my dad! The big things about Medix that intrigued me were the challenges, opportunities and culture of the organization.”
What are the characteristics young professionals need to possess to be successful at Medix?
“Young professionals must be accountable, coachable, organized and have a relentless work ethic.”
When you’re not working hard at Medix, what are your hobbies?
“I like fishing, golfing and watching almost any sports game.”
What’s your favorite baseball team/memory with baseball (playing or watching)?
“My best baseball memory is from when I was young, like 8 or 9 years old.  I was at a Cubs game in the bleachers with my uncle and dad, and Mark Grace (who was my favorite player at the time) hit a grand slam.  Unfortunately, my second best memory (due to them being so bad) was when they beat the Cardinals in the NLDS last year…only to get beat badly by the Mets.”
