When you’re looking for a job, there are a ton of questions to consider how to answer. We’ve even compiled a list of the most common ones for job seekers to be ready for employers to ask. However, there’s one question that might be the most important one of all, and it’s often saved for the very end: “Do you have any questions for me?”
Asking questions in a job interview as a job seeker is essential. Not only can you learn valuable information directly from a current employee, but being prepared with questions is one way to display your level of interest in the position.
It’s time to turn the tables and become the interviewer! Here are some of our favorite questions to ask in a job interview:

  • What’s your favorite part about working here?
  • Can you tell me a little bit about the team I will be working with?
  • How would you describe the working environment here?
  • What does a typical day look like in this job?
  • What does success look like in this position, and how do you measure it?
  • Can you describe some of the challenges you expect the person in this position to face?
  • Are there opportunities for professional development?  If so, what do those look like?
  • What are you most excited about for the future of the company?
  • Is there anything else I can provide to help you make your decision?
  • What is your timeline for making a decision, and when can I expect to hear back from you?
